The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, stressed during the “National Meeting” in Maarab that the meeting “is not animosity toward Hezbollah, but rather to spare Lebanon from what is worse.” He said: “We repeatedly called on the party to spare Lebanon, but it did not listen. Perhaps it will listen today.” He added: "For 40 years until today, we have done everything necessary to spare Lebanon what it is going through today. We demonstrated, demanded, and were imprisoned. We lost many martyrs, from Rafik Hariri to Lokman Slim, but they insisted on bringing the country to where it has reached." He concluded: “The Lebanese government took very bold decisions from August 5 and 7, 2025 until March 2, 2026, and the security services must implement these decisions, including the decision taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Presidents of the Republic and the Government against the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon.”
